They are dedicated to combining locally sourced ingredients with a chillax, eclectic environment where genuine food is served by genuine people. 

Their relaxed, fun, and authentic dining experience includes a full-service bar and highlights their menu because it’s not about getting high, it’s about epic food and legendary service! At Cheba Hut, they serve mouth-watering “toasted” subs on garlic “herb” bread, with a “secret stash” of “home-grown” spices. They offer more than 30 signature subs, all of which are handcrafted with the best bread in the business, high-quality hand-sliced meats and cheeses, fresh crisp veggies, and topped with their homemade sauces and dressings.

Proven Concept: They have been busy the past 20 years developing 22 Cheba Hut locations across 7 states. 12 of these successful restaurants are owned by their franchise partners. 

Exceptional Economics: In 2018, their average unit volume for franchised locations was $1,404,000. That’s a 251% sales to investment ratio! In the last 3 years, they have seen an average of 21% year over year sales growth. It doesn’t take a genius to see they are the real deal by comparing them with the restaurant average of 1.5%-2%1! 

Simple Operation: No flat tops, no deep fryers and, no expensive hoods needed. Not only does this keep initial investments down, it also creates an ease of operations allowing the Franchise Owners to focus on connecting with their communities and developing an incredible culture with their employees.

Personal Touch: At Cheba Hut, they strive to break the mold and embrace the non-traditional. So, while there are guidelines Franchise Owners must follow, they do encourage individuality. For that reason, each owner creates two sandwiches that are featured on the “secret stash menu and they encourage them to serve local beers. They also help find a local artist that paints a mural reflective of them, and their community on the restaurant walls.

Franchisor Support:

Training Their initial training program consists of 70 hours in the classroom and 170 hours of on-the-job training. Here, owners will learn about basic business procedures, equipment operation and maintenance, hiring and training of employees, scheduling, accounting principles, computer operations, advertising, purchasing, food preparation, presentation, and safety, alcohol service, cost control, customer service, general maintenance and other topics selected by Cheba Hut. 

On-Going Support

Their incredibly knowledgeable and experienced corporate team will be readily available to coach and support the specific needs and varying situations that an individual Franchise Owner will undergo. They assist with quarterly newsletters, marketing collateral, and financial reviews. They conduct quarterly site visits, create online training videos and help foster the relationships they have built with their national suppliers.

  • Field Support A minimum of four yearly visits will be provided to each restaurant. These will be conducted by instructors who have experience with Cheba Hut or with restaurant operations. Formal, quality, service, cleanliness and culture inspections with resulting action plans will be provided. More field support visits will be determined as needed.
  • Annual Meetings They hold annual meetings near their corporate office in Fort Collins, Colorado. Their annual meetings are different than traditional franchise concepts. Instead of long, boring meetings, they host a big party that includes concerts and raffles. Last year a franchise partner won a VW bus!
  • Marketing Their brand fund is 2% of weekly revenues. This fund is used to help with brochures, flyers, radio and television commercials, in-store advertising, signs, public relations, telemarketing, promotional programs, and the enhancement and maintenance of the Cheba Hut Website.
